Poipet Gang Busted with Stolen Squat Toilet
If it is not tied down, then it's worth stealing. The article doesn't say if the stolen toilet was new or used.
Cambodia News (Banteay Mean Chey Province): Soon after midnight on 1 August, 2021, the police arrested 2 out of a gang of 9 suspected thieves in the neighborhood in front of Phsar Kandal pagoda in Poipet.
The police first spotted and arrested two suspicious-looking individuals, Sao Pom, a 28-year-old man, and Yun Sarath, an 18-year-old man, who were seen sneaking around the neighborhood carrying a bag full of stolen items.
This arrest led to another arrest of 7 more suspects later that day, on August 1, at 11:30 pm in a rented house in Phsar Kandal village. The suspects were Met Nasoeurt, a 21-year-old man, Tieng Leapheng, a 27-year-old man, Keo Mao, a 15-year-old boy, Tim Pheak, a 19-year-old man, Yarn Sren, a 30-year-old man, Chhorm Marn, a 25-year-old man, and Yum Chhy, a 17-year-old boy.
The stolen items recovered by police were 1 electric fan, 1 toilet bowl, 6 big LED light bulbs, electric cables, 6 Solar panels, 16 electric switches, 1 tricycle, 1 long knife, 2 axes, 1 long sword, 3 drug tools.
The suspects are being held in custody awaiting trial.
