Of course it's your property. Still, you have to assume that somebody that sends you a private message probably wants that this message remains private otherwise he/she would have posted that in public. By posting private messages you are actually abusing the PM system. So I'd say, don't do it. There is a nasty aftertaste to it.

What if someone PMed me that they were going to kill me?

Then do I have right to do with it what I want to?

If I own it then by very definition I can do whatever I please with it (that is the pretty much the exact meaning of ownership).

Either I own it, or I don't.

In this case, I would have to say CEO owns all PMs (at least party) that I send on CEO, since only CEO decides what you can or can't do with them on CEO.

Oh, that last part was almost slightly rational, however, I don't see your link between owning something and having the "right" to do with it what you want, wherever.

Are you also saying CEO owns all the music, Hollywood films, pornography, etc in the world because we "decide what you can or can't do with them on CEO"?

I really fail to see any validity in anything you've said on this thread. Glad to have you on here, but if you have such a big issue with us helping members keep things marked "private" private, I'm not sure what to say.
