The Rainy Season - Where is it?

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. This year's rainy season has been a bit odd, in my estimation. For the last few years, it has seemed as if the start of rainy season was continually later and later, but the big rains eventually came by mid-June. This year, it seems like the rainy season started on time for once, but the volume isn't as heavy as usual. Maybe it's just because I'm working from home more often, but I've not once been caught in a torrential downpour this year. Anyone have any idea what the Mekong levels are like this year compared to the last few?

Ha Ha. I was just about to post again here, along the lines of, "it's August... so where's the rain?" Glad I kept my powder dry.

Still, one downpour doesn't make a season.

Just been so long since we had rain like that. In the last month (? six weeks?) just one downpour in the middle of the night I think. At least the streets got a good wash and flush. They've really needed that, with markets being closed down at times, and vendors selling fish and stuff on the streets. Hopefully more to come.
