Woke. I have a colleague who uses the word like others drink water. It always strikes me that the term itself was created by people who never truly learned how to express themselves, or even to turn up at school often enough to learn how to tawk proper. To even express negative views on the term seems to be nothing short of blasphemy!
The excessive use of the term I feel degrades the arguments that it’s meant to raise and support. It’s almost like someone used the term in jest, and it was taken up by others who missed the in-joke.
I shall now scurry off to my dank hiding place…
