I think that video is actually from the early 1970s, they look like Khmer Republic troops.
Silence, exile, and cunning.

Also, it should be 60s and 70s, not 60th and 70th...

Good catches! I blame Google Translate all the way.

The reason that this video got many likes, becase most of Cambodians espcially elder people who were in the same generation of this diva also didn't realise that she was a paratroops, even my mom and dad who are the ultimate fan of her also didn't realise about it. As a result, it is kind of the best footage of her that we have ever had.

i remembered once i broght this video to them, they were completely surprised. In our culture, we do value women espcially those who work as Military, Teacher, Lecturer, Doctor, Engineer, Lawyer, and ect, pluse our very first king back in 1 century was female.

Most of Cambodians including me are the fan of her music and also sinn sisamouth's. Please note that during late 1950s and early 1960s all the songs were originally written and produced in Cambodia, we didn't copy from other countries like nowadays.

With due respect Sin Sisamouth did quite a few covers of western (mostly American) pop tunes, Black Magic Woman , Sugar Sugar and Whiter Shade of Pale probably best known.

The Madison is also a traditional Cambodian dance! As for her being a paratrooper... This was clearly a photo-op. I don't think she was ever a soldier, even less so a paratrooper. They just dressed her up for the camera.

You might be right, as there is no exact confirmation that she was a paratrooper. :)
