Tragic Death on O Russei Train Bridge
Cambodia News (Pursat Province): On July 14, 2021, in Kropeurot village, Snam Preah commune, Bakan district, a 25-year-old man known as Chok Chet, a construction worker from Battambang province, who lived with his brother, Chok Chan, in Kompeng Svay village, Snam Preah commune, Bakan district, died from an accidental fall from the O Russei railway bridge. The victim was apparently crossing the railway bridge when he was killed.
According to the police autopsy, the victim most probably died from head injuries and drowning which were caused by the impact of being hit hard, either by the train, or by a submerged object as he hit the water. The body was given to the family for a proper funeral.
RIP
