Re: any suggestions for 2 month stay
Surely such a commitment would warrant a trip there yourself to check the place out? To plan on spending 2 months a year
in a country you have never visited and rely on the advice of forum members? seems bizarre to me.

If they're not already balding
Re: any suggestions for 2 month stay
Lots of other expats in Kampot without dreadlocks.
Anywhere in Cambodia you'll find to spend a month or two depending on what your looking for and not just in the 4 main towns

Re: any suggestions for 2 month stay
"Hello all,"
Hello.
"I am looking for an area where I can ride a motorbike around an see the sites..." All the towns and cities have roads, so anywhere outdoors.
"...as well as a place with nightlife..." Kampot, Seeanipville, and PP all have nightlife. SR, to my understanding, has night but not a lot of life at the moment.
"...and friendly females" All females will be your honey if you exude affluence, unless you don't share with them, then you will meet a totally different female, instantly, only this one will be your honey badger. She will do all the talking from that point, and you will still hear her when you get to the next town.
"I don't speak the language so it can't be isolated..." It could be a while before you get here, so you have time to learn some local phrases and some useful words commonly used here although, Chinese is a tricky language to grasp.
"...but two months in noisy PP is not my idea of fun." Just stay for one month in PP (PP, eh? Already got some lingo. Sure you're new to KoW?), then say "high how high are ya" in Kampot, Dajia hao! (Chinese for Hello everyone!) or hurrow, me old China, in Chinoukville. You can also talk in numbers, for Chinese: 6 or 66666 - great, 9's are even better. 94 - I know, exactly, 250 - idiot, moron. Easy slang: MM is girl, GG boy. PMP is a brown-noser. Suan le is "whatever". qu ni de is piss off! Ai shei shei means I'm done talking to you! Cho u bai ai means you are ugly (monster-looking). Huan xin means "you are a cheating piece of shit!" All handy phrases for the adventure tourist, to get the adrenaline pumping.
Dont bother unpacking in readiness for your tactical retreat to the other end of the country, Siem Sleep where you can ride your bike, all you like. There are also islands and less popular towns to visit on your way to Siem Reap like Koh Kong which is not an island (Koh is island), although there is a Koh Kong island and both Koh Kongs are in Koh Kong. Battambang is another city, 2nd biggest? That's about all I know on that one, except that where the backpackers go to Kampot, those at the other end of life's cycle, go to the "Bang". Next trip you will know where to hang.
"Thanks in advance for your advice." You're welcome, in retreat. Have a nice trip.

Re: any suggestions for 2 month stay
What makes you think it's so noisy? There are plenty of quite neighborhoods.
Silence, exile, and cunning.
Re: any suggestions for 2 month stay
Thats the last place I’d advise anyone go.
Far too slow. Not much around and too far from anything, apart from PP.
People of the world, spice up your life.
Re: any suggestions for 2 month stay
There's a lot to do if you like riding bikes off the beaten path
Also some really cool temples in kpc
Re: any suggestions for 2 month stay
I hear no Motos are not allowed entry to Bokor, seems it is okay by car but not moto.
Always "hope" but never "expect".
