Fee for receiving parcels in Cambodia?
Re: Fee for receiving parcels in Cambodia?
I just got a call to go and pick up a parcel from France from the post office. They gave me a package number and a room number. What's the room number all about? Did I misinterpret it?
The difference between animals and humans is that animals would never allow the dumb ones to lead the pack.

Have you sent stuff here from the UK via Parcelforce worldwide? If so, any good?Bluenose wrote: ↑Fri Dec 11, 2020 11:57 am Certainly for DHL the sender will have to declare a value for anything other than documents, they will not accept 0. For EMS the sender will also need to fill in a form and again a value will be required. Under de minimis rules a value of $50 or less doesn't require any import duty/tax payment (assuming that Customs don't query the value).
Up to $300 you can do an easy clearance but duty and VAT is payable and there is a 20% surcharge.
Above that value gets expensive to clear.
That's the official way. What you arrange with the staff at the Post Office is up to you.
Re: Fee for receiving parcels in Cambodia?
I am sending a box with some clothes in it. All new but will be without labels or packaging and rolled up. Does it matter if they are new or used?
450mm x 30mm x 30mm about 5kg via Parcelforce for £60
Will they get here? If so, how long?
I know they don't deliver, but should I just use my address and my phone number on the outside of the box?
Any other advice for me?

I have had one thing delivered. The postman demanded 10,000 riel tip.
Is there a customs form? If so, say personal clothing.
Write your name and phone number on all six sides.
Take all calls and pass the phone to a Khmer speaker if possible.

In a nation run by swine, all pigs are upward-mobile and the rest of us are fucked until we can put our acts together: not necessarily to win, but mainly to keep from losing completely. HST
Re: Fee for receiving parcels in Cambodia?
Yep, got that. All wrappers and labels etc will be removed and the clothes rolled up. On the customs declaration it doesn't seem to specify new or used. The whole package is valued at £130.phuketrichard wrote: ↑Fri Jul 02, 2021 10:59 amalways take any new items out of box's, wrappings, tags off an mark everything USEDDoc67 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 02, 2021 9:10 am I am sending a box with some clothes in it. I have the delivery down to £45 ($63) so that's pretty good.
