Exactly, it's all about selling Bentleys and Rolls Royces and Aston Martins and Range Rovers and Jaguars and Tetleys Tea. I'm not at all sure how many of these companies are still British owned but they are meeting to discuss trade, and environmental protests don't earn much for the exchequer.
Silence, exile, and cunning.

Are you feeding me my lines JB?John Bingham wrote: ↑Wed Jun 23, 2021 10:15 pmExactly, it's all about selling Bentleys and Rolls Royces and Aston Martins and Range Rovers and Jaguars and Tetleys Tea. Bentley is Volkwagon, Rolls Royce is BMW and Jaguar/Range Rover is Tata Motors of India. Tata also own Tetley Tea via Tata Consumer Products of Kolkata. Only Aston Martin is a UK PLC so, in theory, anyone can own it. But with operating income of £600M in 2000 but with net income of MINUS £400 million, I don't think even the Indians want it.
That's global Britain for you. We've sold the lot.

At the main meeting the Union flag (and a pretty poor one it was to be honest) was upside down, something that used to be a distress signal
