2 Phnom Penh KTVs Raided in Covid Shutdown

Cambodia News (Phnom Penh): At 11:30pm on June 14, 2021, 2 KTVs were open, despite the Covid-19 order to shut down, and the personnel was arrested by Khan Po Sen Chey police force on Russian Federation Blv., in Sangkat Choam Choa 3, Khan Po Sen Chey, Phnom Penh.

The 2 locations were: 1st location--Party Restaurant in Sangkat Kakab 1, and 2nd location--Chin Chon KTV on Russian Federal Blv., Sangkat Choam Chao 3.
Both entertainment businesses were packed with hostesses and customers, which is against the government protocols of the current Covid-19 restrictions that only allow restaurants to open when serving food and to receive limited numbers of customers at a time.
Many people were arrested and sent to the police for further investigation.

One feels both sadness and consternation when one reads reports like this. The only solution is follow the covid rules. This will be over soon. :please:

No, it won't be over soon.

The February outbreak (still ongoing) was started by similar morons who thought they were above the law and wanted to go clubbing.

Why should they not all go for testing and quarantine like everyone else who breaks the rules ?

Because some members believe that rules are made for chumps (aka the rest of us). Not the awesome crowd (aka, them). So they come to land of (perceived) no rules (aka, Cambodia) to do whatever they want.

Might be a much smaller problem if there weren't any (opportunistic) girls at the KTVs. They need to be held as equally accountable as the guys who frequent those places.
