South Korea’s Paris Baguette makes Cambodia debut
South Korean bakery and coffee chain opens its first Cambodian store in Phnom Penh as it presses ahead with international expansion

Paris Baguette parent company, SPC Group, has opened its first branch of the bakery and coffee chain in Cambodia as part of a franchise agreement with local firm HSC Group. The opening marks the sixth international market the South Korean chain has launched in.

“SPC Group is committed to expanding business in Southeast Asia,” an SPC Group spokesperson told reporters.

“We recently met with a Malaysian senior minister to discuss establishing a halal-certified food factory there, and we are reviewing plans to tap into Indonesia, which has the biggest market in the region. We also plan to enter the Middle East market in the future.”

Paris Baguette is the largest food-focused coffee chain in South Korea and operates around 4,000 stores globally. While the vast majority of its stores are located in its native South Korean market, Paris Baguette’s parent company SPC Group operates around 430 stores in China, the US, France, Vietnam, Singapore, and now Cambodia.

SPC Group operates a total of 17 hospitality brands in South Korea and internationally, including Paris Croissant, Caffè Pascucci, Jamba Juice, and Shake Shack.
