Quick question: south African food in pp?

Post by Jack.R. »

Hi everyone,
Tonight a friend asked me if there is any place to go eat South African food.
I know an Ethiopian and Nigerian restaurant but i can't recall a SA restaurant.
Any suggestions?

There's a meat shop near Russian market that is South African operated. The sell all the sausages and weird meats etc.

They have a restaurant at the front and do a BBQ on Saturday's. (maybe Sunday's too?)

I can't remember the name of it but I am sure someone else will know of it and provide the name and address.

I miss potjiekos. It's been over a decade since I last visited friends in George and Port Elizabeth.

There was a chef in town called Ben - last I heard he was running a bar at Bassac Lane. He would be able to point you in the right direction, his vetkoek was divine.
He was the chef at China House on the Riverside.
