Cambodia News,(Kampong Cham): Kampong Cham Provincial Police Commissioner Major General Em Kosal told the media on the evening of May 3, 2021, that an operation to arrest a major drug dealer on 1 May, was coordinated by Mr. Vong Bun Visoth, Prosecutor of Kampong Cham Provincial Court.

Phay Seiha, 35, a resident of Svay Chou village, Russey Keo commune, Prek Prosop district, Kratie province, was arrested on May 1, 2021, in Kampong Cham province. The suspect was the subject of an arrest warrant issued by Kampong Cham Provincial Court Investigating Judge Thorn Darith, and 10 other people were also arrested in connection with the drug trafficking.


At the scene of the arrest, special forces confiscated 2 large packages of white crystals, wrapped as a brand of Chinese tea, but suspected to be drugs, weighing 2,037.71 grams. The two packages of crystals were stamped with the mention "Very Good".

I wonder where "very good" lies on the rating "scale". Might be second shit. I'll bet it wasn't Chinese tea, either. Just saying...

Not really a hard drug aficionado, but Meth does seem to be the drug of choice in this country and I'm curious as to why?

Four more kilos of 'Chinese Tea' Marked "Very Good" or "AAA" were seized in Phnom Penh yesterday.

Cambodia News, (Phnom Penh): On the afternoon of 10 June 2021, police arrested 4 people in 3 cases of drug trafficking in Phnom Penh and nearly 4 kg of drugs were confiscated. The drugs were inside packets of Chinese tea, and the contents were marked with "Very Good" and "AAA".

The arrests were as follows:
1/A couple were detained with methamphetamine (ICE) net weight 1587.84g in Por Sen Chey on 4 June 2021.

2/ On 7 June, Sao Chetra was arrested with one large package of white crystals suspected to be methamphetamine (ICE) weighing 993.49g at Sambath Leap Guesthouse in Chroy Changvar.

3/A 30-year-old Cambodian man was picked up by police at the base of the Stung Meanchey Bridge in Sangkat Boeung Salang, Khan Khan Toul Kork, Phnom Penh. His name is Chea Thai and he was found in possession of 1 large pack of methamphetamine (ICE), 3 small packs, total weight 1294.39 g. This arrest also occurred on 7 June.
