Police Officer shot in Phnom Penh Condo shootout
A policeman is in hospital with gunshot wounds after a raid on a Phnom Penh Condo resulted in a shootout between police and gunmen.

The event occurred at 1am this morning when officers of the Anti-Drug Department cracked down on drug trafficking in a condominium in Sangkat Chroy Changva, Khan Chroy Changvar, Phnom Penh.

According to sources from the Anti-Drug Department, while forces from the Anti-Drug Department A3 and A10 were raiding the condo on the 13th floor, a number of suspects fired fired AK-47 assault weapons and pistols at police, injuring a police officer.

The raid is believed to have netted a haul of drugs and weapons – although details are still unclear. It is also believed that a number of suspects have been arrested – although some suspects are still reported to be at large and are being hunted by police.

Gunfire erupts in Chroy Changva district between suspected gunmen and police

Cambodia News, (Phnom Penh): According to sources from the Anti-Drug Department, a shoot-out occurred at 1am on 10 June, as forces from the Anti-Drug Department A3 and A10 raided a condominium on the 13th floor along Keo Chenda Road. In Chroy Changva commune, Chroy Changva district.
There was an exchange of fire using AK rifles and pistols, injuring a police officer. He was transferred to the hospital immediately.

The source says that weapons and ammunition were found, in addition to drugs and paraphenalia.
