Cambodia News, (Phnom Penh): In the early hours of June 5, 2021, a group of gangsters armed with swords chased down and destroyed two vehicles in Phnom Penh. The motive for the attack has not yet been determined.

Sources from the victim said that he was driving home with friends when suddenly a group of gangsters with swords chased his Prius car. When he pulled up in front of his house, there were 3 to 4 suspects with motorcycles using swords to destroy 2 cars:
1 / White Prius car.
2 / Another luxury car

It is reported that the police were called to the scene and that they fired two shots to break up the violence.

Three suspects were sent to the Phnom Penh Municipal Police overnight, while the victims filed a complaint at the O Bek Kam police station.

Well haven't seen the other luxury car, but Prius a luxury car, "well I never". At least someone left a dustpan for the lads to clean the glass out of the car.

No and No. Gangsters have guns, not swords, and cars, not motos. And breaking the car's windows is not destruction of the vehicle.

These were just hooligans with a grudge against someone.

Anyway, I have seen what passes for a sword in this country from a street scene involving the police vs a local lad. He had a 1 metre piece of shiny metal with a black duct-taped handle. From a distance it looked a bit menacing but up close it was a thin pipe, somewhat flattened and shaped, but completely blunt.

The police, four of them on bikes, completely shit themselves and ran away until reinforcements of about 40 turned up, and bravery was restored.

Was this the "sword" in question?
