Chinese Driver Killed Cambodian Woman Motorcyclist in Horrific Hit and Run

Cambodia news in English! Here you'll find all the breaking news from Cambodia translated into English for our international readership and expat community to read and comment on. The majority of our news stories are gathered from the local Khmer newspapers, but we also bring you newsworthy media from Cambodia before you read them anywhere else. Because of the huge population of the capital city, most articles are from Phnom Penh, but Siem Reap, Sihanoukville, and Kampot often make the headlines as well. We report on all arrests and deaths of foreigners in Cambodia, and the details often come from the Cambodian police or local Khmer journalists. As an ASEAN news outlet, we also publish regional news and events from our neighboring countries. We also share local Khmer news stories that you won't find in English anywhere else. If you're looking for a certain article, you may use our site's search feature to find it quickly.

Have any of you seen Westerners in the news like this?

Open the floodgates to the Chinese and lo and behold, nothing but criminally tragic news........almost daily.

When is enough going to be enough......Ministers, Oknya's, other assorted well-heeled Khmers?

Continue pimping out your own country ad hoc or start being more discriminating in who you do business with?
No time soon. Cambodia is at the front of the queue in this region for the Chinese vaccines, of which they will need much more in the future as the Chinese manufacturers produce new versions to take on new variants and booster shots programmes are required (see UAE).

Vaccine supply is a long term arrangement and this seals the fate of Cambodia viz a viz the Chinese presence in this country - for better or for worse.

Sorry mate.

It was a rhetorical question, personally I don't give a shit.

I just wish to be a fly on the wall some day when those Khmer in the power structure turn and look at each other and ask "What the fuck happened to our Country?"

But that will never happen because that requires empathy and a true love of your fellow countryman.

The only thing they're concerned with is a bunch of long dead American politicians, of varying denominations, and how to hoard as many as humanly possible.

I suspect any future reflection on what they did to their country will be done from the comfort of a 10,000 sqm Villa in Dubai or somewhere else a long way from here.

Any 'new guard', even it is is like-minded, is always a threat to the old one and, given their riches, will be great target for a bit of compulsory sharing.

All those second passports are not just for bragging rights.
