Man Arrested for Throwing Rocks at Ambulance

Cambodia News, (Kampong Speu): According to the information from the Kong Pisey District Police Inspector, a suspect threw stones at the ambulance of the Kong Pisey District Referral Hospital, which was traveling from south to north in Preah Nirvana commune, on May 22, 2021. Arriving at the northern point of the 13th kilometer mark, about 20 meters on National Road 41 in Samdech Ov village, Prey Nhat commune, suddenly a man threw rocks at the ambulance window and shattered it. He then ran away.

Police went to search for the culprit and arrested a 29-year-old male suspect named Vit Sot, who lived in the above village-commune, according to witnesses at the scene. On being questioned by the police, the man admitted that he actually threw stones at the window of the emergency ambulance, but did not give a motive for his behavior.

The suspect was taken for questioning by the police force of Kong Pisey district at the district police inspectorate and the case was sent to the provincial office for legal action.

I’m no expert, but, I suspect drugs and/or alcohol may have been a factor in this crime.

In the Kingdom of Wonder, ambulances are used to transport wounded to the hospital (just like in the West). But also to transport the dead (for whatever reason), as well as transporting those with the virus to quarantine.

Maybe he was expecting the men in biohazard suits, fishing nets, and cattle prods to show up soon.

Meth also helps cloud the mind, too.
