Lt. Col. Un Sam Ath, working in the examination and forensic office of the Kandal Provincial Police, was angry with a male dog, who chased and bit him, so he pulled out his gun and fired at the animal four times.

Local people said that they saw Mr. Un Sam Ath riding a motorbike at the scene, when suddenly he was attacked by a male dog, which made Mr. Un Sam Ath very angry. He fired his gun at the dog who ran away unharmed. The locals were upset because there were many people walking on the street at that moment, including families with children, who could have been wounded by a stray bullet. Lt. Un Sam Ath said that he actually shot the dog with an air gun because he was angry, and because the dog chased him and injured him.

Separately, Colonel Yi Vanda, police inspector of Takhmao City, said that he had asked the police station to do this work and called Mr. Un Sam Ath for further questioning.
