River Fisherman Killed by Lightning Bolt

Battambang: On the evening of May 14, 2021, at 4:00 pm, a fisherman died instantly when he was struck by lightning when he was out fishing at the mouth of the Bassac River in Rukkiri District, Battambang Province.

The body of the victim was identified as Choy Chanrith, male, 20 years old, living in Bassac Village.

After the incident, local authorities went to examine the body for an autopsy. After the examination, it was confirmed that the victim was indeed killed by lightning, so the body was handed over to relatives for a traditional ceremony. RIP.
