Chinese Arrested for Drug Trafficking in Phnom Penh House
Cambodia News (Phnom Penh): Chbar Ampov police collaborated with the Anti-drug department in a raid on a house where drugs were being packed in Sangkat Niroth, Khan Chabar Ampov, Phnom Penh.
The police arrested two Chinese men found at the scene: LIU JIE, 40 years old, and CHAN HUNG FAI, 58 years old.
The drug evidence, such as 40 packets of blue pills, 26 packs of powder, and 4 packs of colored pills, was confiscated and returned to the Anti-drug Department of the Ministry of the Interior.

UPDATE: Another arrest has been made and nearly 7kgs of drugs seized.
Cambodia News, (Phnom Penh): Experts from the Anti-Drug Department cracked down on cross-border drug trafficking hidden in land (via Cambodia to Vietnam), arrested a Chinese drug criminal and confiscated nearly 7 kg of drugs in Phnom Penh that were destined to be trafficked into Vietnam by a gang of Chinese nationals.
On May 12, 2021, at 11:35am, the specialized force of the Department of Anti-Drug Crimes launched an operation to crack down on cross-border drug trafficking at Orussey Bus Station, Street 105, Sangkat Boeung Prolit, Khan 7 Makara and searched the house No. 482BIS, Mekong River Road, Sangkat Khan Chroy Changva, Phnom Penh.
Police arrested a major drug criminal: Chinese national, FAN YI, male, born on 01/07/1972, living at the above address. The authorities searched the premises and discovered almost a kilogram of MDMA hidden in a floor fan.
Altogether, police seized 1. Ecstasy (MDMA) weighing 971.77g (hidden in vertical fan stand). 2. Ketamine (Ketamine) weighs 5 kg 578.95g. 3. Methamphetamine (ICE) 93.19 g. They captured a total of 6 kg 643.91 g of drug exhibits.
This case is believed to be related to a previous drug crackdown on 12 May, 2021, which resulted in the arrest of two Chinese men.

The three suspects are identified as LIU JIE, CHAN HUNG FAI, and FAN YI, all Chinese nationals.

The Chinese seem to prefer Ketamine for some reason. I wonder where it is coming from! Is it coming from outside the country, or is it being manafactured here.

Interesting story. Fentanyl and Carfentanyl too. Of course, it is China conveniently using the border to hide their involvement as a matter of traditional practise.
