Information on Coronavirus / COVID-19 in Cambodia (Latest Updates December 2021)
Re: Information on Coronavirus / COVID-19 in Cambodia (Latest Updates April 2021)
I was reading of the medical personal here, who have come across (from the 20th incident on both strains) the UK and Indian strain. They have cured two people who each had one of the Covid19 strains, that's pretty good work of the medical teams.

Quotes from the thread we can't have discussion on -
She added “We’ve found new virus transformation from India (B1617) from foreigners who entered the country last month and during the February 20 Community Event period.
“He was also cured by our team of doctors. A new mutated strain of the virus originating from the United Kingdom (B117) has also been found on foreigners entering Cambodia.”
The new mutations from India and other mutated strains in this country is considered by international experts to be more vicious than other new mutated viruses from South Africa, England and Brazil.
If they are imported Covid19 strains how do they then circlelate if the person who is infected is known to have and is isolating, more likely with medical attention.

Yeah I had to read that article twice, and I still wasn't sure what they were saying. If there is more than one strain at large in the country, they can't continue to blame the entire current outbreak on the hookers. They'd have to admit further failures.AndyKK wrote: ↑Thu May 13, 2021 5:17 am Quotes from the thread we can't have discussion on -

I believe the Indian strain has only been found during testing of newly arrived patients and is not 'in the community'timmydownawell wrote: ↑Thu May 13, 2021 6:16 amYeah I had to read that article twice, and I still wasn't sure what they were saying. The bit I couldn't work out was there have only been 121 UK variant cases found. Is this because they have only sequenced 121 of the 20,000 cases? Or there is more than one variation in the country (which wouldn't fit with the 20th Feb story)

Not only have they got the skills to detect new strains and mutations, they have the capability of cure. Makes one feel more safe with these expertise.

To put things in perspective, not everyone with the Indian variant dies... The main trend is still most people get through it relatively easy, some get pretty sick and some get seriously ill needing serious treatment. Those in the last group are probably better off back home than in Cambodia. The chances these cured people with the Indian variant are in that last group and were cured are extremely small.AndyKK wrote: ↑Thu May 13, 2021 7:15 am Quote - We’ve found new virus transformation from India. Re: Information on Coronavirus / COVID-19 in Cambodia (Latest Updates April 2021)
It's reported today that 80% of the populations of 'Red Zones' have been vaccinated. Has anyone any idea with which chemical concoctions they've been 'jabbed'? And does anyone know, if vaccinations are mandated for all denizens of 'Orange Zones' - and lastly 'Yellow Zones' (a huge undertaking) - if those to be jabbed will get a choice of the stuff they're to be jabbed with?

It's whatever Chinese vaccine they have it's the only one that's free for the government so that's what they get, from what I read it's only good after a couple weeks after second shot so not sure why they celebrating everyone's first shot.Matthew Robinson wrote: ↑Thu May 13, 2021 1:35 pm It's reported today that 80% of the populations of 'Red Zones' have been vaccinated. I don't believe you get a choice. It will be Sinovac or Sinopharm, as they only received 324k doses of AZ and have likely used all of them and are now awaiting another shipment for those people's second doses (or perhaps they used half and reserved the other half for those people). AZ was donated by COVAX, not purchased by the KH government. They don't appear to have actually ordered any AZ, that I know of.Matthew Robinson wrote: ↑Thu May 13, 2021 1:35 pm It's reported today that 80% of the populations of 'Red Zones' have been vaccinated. They're not all free: the government has purchased a bunch of Sinovac:atst wrote: ↑Thu May 13, 2021 2:09 pmIt's whatever Chinese vaccine they have it's the only one that's free for the government so that's what they get, from what I read it's only good after a couple weeks after second shot so not sure why they celebrating everyone's first shot.Matthew Robinson wrote: ↑Thu May 13, 2021 1:35 pm It's reported today that 80% of the populations of 'Red Zones' have been vaccinated. Cambodia has so far obtained more than 4 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines including 1.7 million doses of Sinopharm, a do[nation] from China, 2 million doses of Sinovac purchased from China, and 324,000 doses of AstraZeneca / SII (COVISHIELD) offered through the COVAX mechanism. In addition, 1 million additional doses of vaccine will arrive in Cambodia by mid-May.
