Man Beaten by Hammer for 700K Riel Debt
Cambodia News (Pursat): On May 10, 2021, two suspects were arrested for injuring people at 11:05 am, on May 10, 2021, in Beung Smok village, Krokor district, Pursat. Three suspects were identified as Veng Van, a 30-year-old man who ran away to escape, and Lorn Long, a 26-year-old man, and San Sovanneth, a 25-year-old man, who were arrested by police.
Before the incident, 3 suspects met the victim at the rice field and asked for the money that the victim owed them for 700,000 riels. The victim told them that he is tried to work to make money for them. But the suspects got angry and used a hammer and a stick to attack the victim, causing him to get injured.
The police arrested two of the suspects for questioning. The suspects confessed that they attacked the victim because he owed them money. The two suspects were taken to Krokor police station following the order of Mr. Koy Kanya, the prosecutor.

Well this guy doesn't look like he is bothered too much over the incident. Imagine having these two sitting at the bar with you, one on each side. All you would want now is their friend who ran away to turn up with the evidence.

I didn't really look at the background until you mentioned it. That brings home a stark reality of what the Cambodian penal facilities look like in real life - shitholes you wouldn't store stray dogs in.
Do you think they have en-suite bathroom facilities?
