Husband Hacks Wife to Death Over Insults

Cambodia News (Phnom Penh): An angry man used a cleaver to hack his wife to death at 10 am, on May 4, 2021, at Borey Phnom Penh Park, on national road 6, Sangkat Prek Leap, Khan Chroy Changvar, Phnom Penh.

The police said the suspect was identified as Nhem Pisey, 35 years old, a construction worker. The victim, Veng Ny, 35 years old, was attacked on the face, shoulder, and arm while she was lying in a hammock.
The neighbor reported that the couple were arguing with each other. The victim was lying in the hammock, insulting her husband and calling him no good, when suddenly the suspect attacked his wife with a cleaver. She died on the way to the hospital.

The local security man arrested the suspect and sent him to the police station.
