Branches of Virak Buntham Bus Company Closed for Covid

Cambodia news in English! Here you'll find all the breaking news from Cambodia translated into English for our international readership and expat community to read and comment on. The majority of our news stories are gathered from the local Khmer newspapers, but we also bring you newsworthy media from Cambodia before you read them anywhere else. Because of the huge population of the capital city, most articles are from Phnom Penh, but Siem Reap, Sihanoukville, and Kampot often make the headlines as well. We report on all arrests and deaths of foreigners in Cambodia, and the details often come from the Cambodian police or local Khmer journalists. As an ASEAN news outlet, we also publish regional news and events from our neighboring countries. We also share local Khmer news stories that you won't find in English anywhere else. If you're looking for a certain article, you may use our site's search feature to find it quickly.

I was also a genius that was booked 8th march but couldn't get there due to lockdown I have mixed feeling about not being there. The lockdown came overnight with no warning . not everyone who goes to the island is a party animal, there's many different types of accomodations. You can't tell people it's thier own fault they are where they are, are you going to say the same to the people in the red zones in PP
And Sihanoukville.
I'm standing up, so I must be straight.

yeah well all i know is about 12 months ago when most countries were in lockdown every dickhead in Koh Rong. Kampot and Kep was posting photos and videos of themselves having blast with some caption telling everyone how smart they are for staying in Cambodia and how stupid everyone else is.

NOW they can all go F*** Themselves.

That's one of the embassy's jobs, to help its citizens. Every foreigner who has managed to leave the island so far has called their embassies. For me it's more of a thing to say to local authorities to get them to give us better information. Really struggling to see the logic through all the baseless assumptions that you're making. I'm here with my family, not to party. And I'd still rather be here than stuck in a room somewhere in PP. I just want to get out of here before rainy season if possible. My bad though, yeah, I'm such an IDIOT for not expecting the lockdown to go for 2 and a half months when Cambodia has barely locked down at all in the past. Save me the sanctimony.
