A guide to the sights, sounds and smells of Kep.
It's been a tough time around Cambodia of late with the recent restrictions and various lockdowns. With, touch wood, some of these lifting over the net weeks, I'm sure some people would be looking to travel or even relocate within the country.
Please check out my recently published guide to Kep, featuring articles on Kep Beach, The Abandoned Colonial Villas, Rabbit Island, Kep National Park, Samathi Pagoda and The Strand Restaurant. All content is free, if you enjoy what you read please share. Thanks!

Re: A guide to the sights, sounds and smells of Kep.
The Kep casino was only in operation for a short period. It was destroyed in a mysterious incident around 1966 when a gang turned up and methodically smashed everything in it. The incident is described in this book:Back in the town’s heyday, there was a large casino. Visited, some articles claim, by French film legend Catherine Deneuve and former US First Lady Jackie Kennedy. But our driver said he didn’t know if there were any remains, adding that it was probably destroyed by The Khmer Rouge.
Silence, exile, and cunning.
