Re: Cambodia's Quarantine and Lockdown Escapees (Regular Updates)
I wonder in reality how many pass with not being detected by the authorities.
Always "hope" but never "expect".

Re: Cambodia's Quarantine and Lockdown Escapees (Regular Updates)
Fortunately for the authorities, many Cambodians like to post themselves on Facebook when they break lockdown or curfew.
Kampot Man Posts his Lockdown Escape
Cambodia News, (Kampot Province): A Kampot man who posted a video of himself arriving home in Kampot province from Phnom Penh has been visited by Kampot police. This is according to the national police officer's page in the morning of April 24, 2021.
It was confirmed that, on April 23, 2021, the police department of Kampot saw a short video posted on social media, saying: ′′ I arrived home, who said it is not possible to come from Phnom Penh, and now arrive in Kampot!" As a further insult, the man posted his welcome home BBQ with his family.
After receiving this news, the Kampot Police Department has researched this person, who is called Phal Dara, male, 24 years old, a mirror-cutter working in Phnom Penh, but originally from Ang Sophey, Kompong Trach district, Kompot province. Police found him at his parents' home there.
Due to the continuing disobedience of individuals, who insist on traveling although this is forbidden by the law, many Facebook posters are requesting officers to take legal action in this case.

Journalist Arrested Taking Passengers to Kratie
Cambodia News, (Kandal): On 23.04.2021 at 15:00, Voeun Sophornra, the owner of a car repair shop and a journalist of UMTV Online, took two car repair workers from his car repair garage in his white KIA RIGAL to his hometown in Prek Prang village, Kratie province.
When the car crossed the Victory Monument Bridge on National Road 6 in Chroy Changva district, Phnom Penh, the driver, Voeun Sophornra, stopped and went to meet the authorities at the checkpoint there. He told the officers that he was returning to his hometown because he was unemployed, and he was allowed to continue his journey.
However, on arriving at the border checkpoint between Kandal and Kampong Cham provinces in Krang Svay village, Svay Ampear commune, Muk Kampoul district, Kandal province, the police inspectorate of Muk Kampoul district inspected and questioned Voeun Sophornra, the driver of the car, and Voeun Sophornra then showed them his ID and the mission letter of UMTV Online journalist allowing him to travel in 25 provinces and cities, signed by Mr. Sok Sovanchea.
But when the police checked the documents, they realized that there was only one letter, and yet there were three people in the car, and two of them did not have journalist IDs or a letter to travel. So then the police arrested the 3 suspects. The driver, Voeun Sophornra, admitted that he had taken the two car repair workers from his garage with the intention of going to his hometown together in Kratie province.
As for the three suspects who were temporarily detained at the Muk Kampul District Police Inspectorate, the competent authorities are building a case to proceed with the procedure.
