Cambodia News, (Kampong Speu): On the night of April 20, 2021, the National Police Commissioner and the Governor of Kampong Speu ordered the arrest of sixteen foreigners, and two of the Cambodian drivers who were transporting them from the lockdown area in Phnom Penh to Banteay Meanchey.

Police and officials conducted a search operation to find 16 Indonesian nationals, including 4 women, who were staying at the Heng Meanleap Guesthouse in Udong village, Veang Chas commune, Udong district, Kampong Speu province. The report says that five cars of foreigners, driven by Cambodians, left Phnom Penh on 19 April, heading for Poipet. The convoy was stopped at a checkpoint in Kampong Speu and 3 of the car drivers refused to go any further. The group stopped at the guesthouse in Udong village for the night, and three of the drivers left the scene.

Not half suspicious 16 people booking into a guesthouse at one time, bet the guesthouse owner made them pay upfront then dobbed them in.
