Re: L'Orchidee - Russian Market
One of the best restaurants in PP in every way - price, quality, portions, hospitality.
Love it!
They did a fantastic job of catering for me and my partners birthday. 50+people, live music, and a great night had by all.
Highly recommended.

I tend to sleep in the nude. Which isn't a bad thing except for maybe on those long flights.

Re: L'Orchidee - Russian Market
I was there for a late lunch a few days ago. So I was the only guest (until a Caucasian lady got there too).
I ordered something that could be done quickly (stir-fried rice with minced pork and fermented shrimp paste) and a lime juice.
The lime juice was perfect, sour and sweet just to my taste. I was given chopped, green mustard leaves relish ("chhrook spey"). I don't know if they get it from the market and add their touch, or if they make it themselves, but it was REALLY good. Tangier and a tiny bit sweeter than the usual chhrook spey I can get at home.
The fried rice was very tasty, with crunchy carrots' and green longbeans' bits. Their desserts were not ready yet, unfortunately, but I enjoyed my meal there (US$5, including a US$0.50 tip).
