Yes, I was joking. Still, I predict that Trump will be blamed for everything that happens in the next few years.snoink wrote: ↑Tue Apr 20, 2021 11:15 amI hope you're joking.Big Daikon wrote: ↑Tue Apr 20, 2021 11:01 amDisagree.

Well, it was screwed up before Trump, but very driven by a myriad of factors brought to bear by the right wing .Big Daikon wrote: ↑Tue Apr 20, 2021 11:01 amDisagree.

The right wing crazy machine began a campaign radicalizing people based on culture and against their government. (immigrants are bad, the government is corrupt, private industry knows how to run things, socialism is bad, tea party, blah blah blah.)
It got even more radicalized during Trump as he incited culture fault lines based on race and gave a home for white supremacists, and gun nuts to fester.
America is becoming sectarian. I know several people thinking about leaving their rural and small towns in search of more tolerant communities, which will only exacerbate the polarization between cities and rural communities.

Thoughts and prayers.
Meum est propositum in taberna mori,
ut sint Guinness proxima morientis ori.
tunc cantabunt letius angelorum chori:
"Sit Deus propitius huic potatori."

I take issue with the word "culture"Brody wrote: ↑Fri Apr 16, 2021 6:46 pmYou say "exporting" like it's being foisted upon you. There would be no 'exporting' if there were no 'buyers'.Phnom Poon wrote: ↑Fri Apr 16, 2021 6:36 pm america has been exporting it's culture for many decades
so naturally the whole world is interested in what that culture is, in reality
Personally I'd love America to be completely isolationist. Let you fuckwads build your own militaries, motion picture industries, pharmaceutical and medical advancements, educational institutions......etc.
Most of your countries suckle at the teat of the US, then have the temerity to talk shit and look down your noses.
