what to do and when to seek help
they set up all these measures to social distance, avoid large gatherings, mask wearing but how many out there still use paper money ?

I see quite a few shops spraying the paper, after touching it though, and then putting it in the register. Then they spray their own hands.phuketrichard wrote: ↑Mon Apr 19, 2021 7:24 am what to do and when to seek help

Did you tell her she has virtually no protection until a month after her second jab, and then it's just coin flip if it protects her?Brody wrote: ↑Sun Apr 18, 2021 2:14 pmTotally.timmydownawell wrote: ↑Sun Apr 18, 2021 2:03 pmThat's insane.theKid wrote: ↑Sun Apr 18, 2021 1:58 pmNo idea if there is any system at all. Forget about old people, start with the people who have most contacts/risk of spreading it.
A mini mart down the street from me is owned by a lady in her 30's. Her husband is low level police.
2 weeks ago I am at her mart and she's wearing a tank top shirt and has a bright neon orange band aid on her shoulder from her vaccine.
She was strutting and clucking around like a proud hen.....showing off that band aid, lest anyone not notice.
Vaccines are becoming a status symbol in a status obsessed culture.
That ought to stop the strutting.

Another problem, tiny perhaps compared with a rapidly spreading virus. But the new 'no exercise' law means that dogs can't be taken out for walks etc; so they spend all day howling in their owners' apartments. Absolute hell if you happen to live next door to a couple.

My neighbour's dogs bark no matter what. I don't think I've ever seen a Khmer owned dog that was trained remotely properly and listened to commands. I'm sure they exist, but they're in the vaaaaasst minority. Most just get yappers to make noise and deter thieves. Nevermind that having the dog(s) bark all night and the owner never checking in on why they're barking has any effect.

She should be well placed from 2 weeks after her second jab. See my post on John Campbell's take on Chile's vaccination programme. This is quite hopeful for Cambodia.

interesting numbers
Cambodia infected 6.389.... deaths 46

Singapore 60,831 30
Thailand 42,352 101
last 2 deaths in Cambodia;
how many could have been saved if they went in early?

Probably a few in the best of times, but if you've ever walked into a public hospital here, you'd know that it likely wouldn't necessarily have made a huge difference, especially if the doctors are overworked and medical equipment at max capacity. Singapore's ratio is quite impressive.phuketrichard wrote: ↑Mon Apr 19, 2021 10:04 amAs seems many deaths in Cambodia are those testing positive and dying within a few days.
