Cambodia News (Banteay Meanchey): On April 13, 2021, Serey Sophon police reported that a man was shocked to death in the swimming pool, at Elite Sports Club, in Ouambel district, Serey Sorphon city, Banteay Meanchey. The victim was identified as Lim Kimhak, a 27-year-old man, the son-in-law of the club owner, who died on on April 12, 2021, at 8:50 pm.


According to two workers at the club, a 40-year-old man, Cheang Ley, and Savenh Imai, a 19 year old boy, the victim went swimming in the pool while they were were filling the pool and charging the water pump. They said that there might have been an electrical fault in the pump that caused the victim to get electrocuted.
The two workers were also mildly shocked but they escaped just in time. They took the victim out of the water and sent him to the hospital, but unfortunately it was too late, because the victim was already dead.

After the incident, the police went to the scene to examine the body and concluded that the victim died after getting electrocuted. The body was returned to the family for funeral preparation.
