40k+ complaints in two days to Ofcom about Piers Morgan ;-) (" Ofcom said it had launched an investigation under its harm and offence rules")

110k+ complaints to the BBC because MasterChef was cancelled and replaced with coverage of Prince Phillip's demise

We've become a world of serial complainers. By 'we', I mean 'they' :hattip:

If you read his follow up statement in the telegraph after he refused to apologise he says "I am not a victim and i haven't been cancelled"

Who’s “they” exactly? The most complained about show to OFCOM is Jerry Springer The Opera, which was targeted by the Christian Right, two decades ago.

That has now been overtaken by the recent complaints regarding the wall to wall coverage of the royal death. :beer1:

from the BBC website

A figure of 100,000 would make the coverage of Prince Philip's death the most complained-about piece of programming in BBC history.
Other programmes that attracted a high volume of correspondence included the broadcast of Jerry Springer: The Opera, which received 63,000 complaints in 2005; and Russell Brand's prank call to actor Andrew Sachs, which drew 42,000 complaints in 2008.

I would concede this but for one detail:
The BBC later set up a temporary, dedicated page on its website to help viewers register their complaints about coverage of the duke's death.

On the form, it said it had received "complaints about too much TV coverage", and urged viewers to enter their email address to register a complaint.
The Jerry Springer people had to actually make an effort to get their complaints lodged. This seems to be a count of people mashing a “dislike” button. By contrast the number of OFCOM (as opposed to BBC) complaints seems hard to find...

Well sure but let’s not act like this is either new or confined to any one demographic or political leaning.

Better than shooting yourself. ^^^
or shooting up the whole neighbourhood
lol
Considering the circumstance - the 21st century - i reckon keeping it to just pouring out a shootload of winges is actually, positively stoic.

right, because it's not all coming from certain segments of society, at all
the whole thing is just extremely childish
i think maybe we skipped the 'respect is earned' lessons
that a few knocks and run-ins in childhood and at school used to teach you

Extinction Rebellion eco-warrior Alison Plaumer has claimed giving schoolkids too much dairy is "racist"Credit: SussexLive/BPM

The environmental campaigner, from XR's Brighton branch, is calling for more plant-based options in schools.

She has launched a petition on the Brighton and Hove City Council website for two plant-based days at state-run schools as soon as possible.

She also wants to see all council-run events to be plant-based once the pandemic is over.

According to SussexLive, Ms Plaumer told the council last month: "Arguably, there is a racist element to serving dairy too much because 65 per cent of the world’s population are lactose intolerant, many from the BAME (black, Asian and minority ethnic) community.

"Loads of parents around here give lots of support to this. What do children want? They want action. They want it now."

And in the petition, so far signed by 252 people, the campaigner says: "Food production alone is set to push Earth past 1.5°C of warming according to an Oxford University meta analysis in 2018."
