Who’s “they” exactly? The most complained about show to OFCOM is Jerry Springer The Opera, which was targeted by the Christian Right, two decades ago.

That has now been overtaken by the recent complaints regarding the wall to wall coverage of the royal death.

I would concede this but for one detail:

The BBC later set up a temporary, dedicated page on its website to help viewers register their complaints about coverage of the duke's death.

On the form, it said it had received "complaints about too much TV coverage", and urged viewers to enter their email address to register a complaint.

The Jerry Springer people had to actually make an effort to get their complaints lodged. This seems to be a count of people mashing a “dislike” button. By contrast the number of OFCOM (as opposed to BBC) complaints seems hard to find...

right, because it's not all coming from certain segments of society, at all

The environmental campaigner, from XR's Brighton branch, is calling for more plant-based options in schools.

She has launched a petition on the Brighton and Hove City Council website for two plant-based days at state-run schools as soon as possible.

She also wants to see all council-run events to be plant-based once the pandemic is over.

And in the petition, so far signed by 252 people, the campaigner says: "Food production alone is set to push Earth past 1.5°C of warming according to an Oxford University meta analysis in 2018."
