New hotel/casino being built where the white building was

Cambodia news in English! Here you'll find all the breaking news from Cambodia translated into English for our international readership and expat community to read and comment on. The majority of our news stories are gathered from the local Khmer newspapers, but we also bring you newsworthy media from Cambodia before you read them anywhere else. Because of the huge population of the capital city, most articles are from Phnom Penh, but Siem Reap, Sihanoukville, and Kampot often make the headlines as well. We report on all arrests and deaths of foreigners in Cambodia, and the details often come from the Cambodian police or local Khmer journalists. As an ASEAN news outlet, we also publish regional news and events from our neighboring countries. We also share local Khmer news stories that you won't find in English anywhere else. If you're looking for a certain article, you may use our site's search feature to find it quickly.

In 2015 I was attacked by 4 Khmer junkies. After 5 minutes of fighting I luckily could escape with 2 broken ribs, broken nose, black eye, broken finger eye etc.etc.
They got my old Nokia, BUT not my money and not my ring (from my grandpa)! Even they tried to break, hack my right hand finger no way I had given them this ring.
It was 3pm when I finally escaped and my teeshirt was ripped off, no flips, bleeding all over, I tried to get back to my place, took 1 valium and slept. At 6pm I went to Calmette.
By the way: My g/f cried for 2 hours after she saw me, they are like this. I still love KOW!
Fascinating and exciting. I hope I can join you on the next adventure!
You're welcome Marty! Two against four, means we'll beat the shit outta them, BUT , honestly, I am getting 67 now, and it was pure luck they didn't get my moonies and/or wasted me.
Anyway, they also somehow made my day. Even I am (was a old sucker then I realized that I can still fight, being able to absorb that kind of blows! I always hated fights but sometimes you cannot escape! I really hope that was the last time. Normally I walk away, but it wasn't possible at that day.

Good points, sure there were lots of artistic communities there etc but it was an utter scumhole and there was way loads of vice going on there. It's better off gone because it was unrepairable. As for some of the former residents getting apartments there, that was certainly part of the plan. However I'm not sure they would make the greatest neighbors.
Silence, exile, and cunning.

Oh wait, all that really happened to you? I thought it was all a dream. You are lucky you got outta there with your kahoonas intact. No, I wouldnt really want to join in a fight like that. But I would like to watch from a distance.
