Cambodia News, (Phnom Penh): The case of a power outage from substation 8 (GS8-F19 & F22) is due to a dump truck not dropping its load correctly, and thus hitting some power lines causing the medium voltage (MV) line to break, which caused power outages in some areas, which are: (1) Chamkar Dong Street, Khva Village, Srok Chek Village, Prek Pranak Village, Ban Kou Village, Sangkat Cheung Ek, Sangkat Dangkor and Sangkat Prey Sar, Khan Dangkor (2) Sangkat Chak Angre Krom, Khan Meanchey (3) Sangkat Choam Chao, Khan Por Sen Chey Phnom Penh (4) Ta Kdol Village, Khpob 1 Village, Khpob 2 Village, Prek Ho West Village and Prek Ho East Village, Sangkat Prek Samrong, Sangkat Takdol, Sangkat Kampong Samnang, Sangkat Prek Russey and Sangkat Prek Ho, Takhmao City, Kandal Province.

The technical team is making repairs to connect customers to electricity as soon as possible at 18:00 pm.

Electricite du Cambodge (EDC) calls on people to be extra careful when working near the power line, as it may cause disruption to the power supply and eventually accidents.
