Kitchen Fire Burns Korean Factory

Cambodia News, (Kandal): This morning, on March 24, 2021 at 8 am, a fire broke out at Kyungshin Factory in the Special Economic Zone (7NG), in Khsach Kandal District, Kandal Province. One person, a 24-year-old male worker, was injured in the fire.

According to the police, the factory, belonging to Zhang Sang-ho, a 46-year-old man from South Korea, had 1,675 factory workers, 1,318 of whom were working when the fire broke out. The burning factory was 120 meters long and 80 meters wide.

According to the conclusion of the authorities, the fire was started by an electrical short circuit near the workers' kitchen, and which spread rapidly into the kitchen and exploded.

Meanwhile, the police of Khsach Kandal district brought 1 fire truck of Khsach Kandal district to the scene and 2 water trucks were provided by the 7NG fire security.
