You can run, but you can't hide. Cambodian police get their man.


Cambodia News, (Battambang): Battambang police carried out the implementation of Investigation Order No. 479/21 given by Mr. Aing. Sophea, Investigating Judge of Kampot Provincial Court, in connection with two cases of aggravated theft in Kampot Province in the past. Police arrested a suspect, identified as Hem Hy, male, 34 years old, residing in Svay Village, Battambang Province.

The police confiscated the following items: -5 mobile phones -1 black backpack -1 long-sleeved shirt -1 blue jeans.

In front of the police, the suspect, Hem Hy, confessed that he had broken into two mobile phone shops in Kampot city to steal phones.

For the first time, on January 18, 2021, 80 mobile phones were stolen from Touk Meas Thmey mobile phone shop in Prey Krala Khang Lech village, Touk Meas Khang Lech commune, Kampot city, Kampot province.
The second time, on February 27, 2021, at the Tinh Pich mobile phone shop in Kampong Bay North Village, Sangkat Kampong Bay, Kampot City, Kampot Province, 297 mobile phones were stolen.

On March 20, 2021, the Battambang provincial police handed over the suspect to the Kampot provincial police force for legal action.
