Cambodia News, (Pailin Province): On Thursday, March 18, 2021 at the original ice factory in Otaprang village, Pailin city, there was a gas leak, causing four people to become ill enough to be taken to hospital for treatment, and the nearby population was evacuated.

This case is caused by a problem with the gas head which is broken, the gas leaks and leaks out, causing panic. Residents in the nearby area were poisoned by the smell of gas and had symptoms: fatigue, dizziness, nausea and vomiting and they were sent to Pailin Provincial Referral Hospital. Those most affected by the gas were two adults and two teenagers, who are recovering; the names are as follows:

2-Name: Roeun Mom, Female, 46 years old, Residence: Otaprang Village, Sangkat Pailin, Pailin City, Pailin Province.

3-Name: Van Ramit, Female, 15 years old, Residence: Otaprang Village, Sangkat Pailin, Pailin City, Pailin Province.

4-Name: In Bela, Male, 13 years old, Residence: Otaprang Village, Sangkat Pailin, Pailin City, Pailin Province.


After the incident, the specialized forces of the Pailin City Police Inspectorate and the administrative post, including the village chief, took administrative measures and instructed the residents living around the scene to leave the area temporarily while repairs took place. After that the population were permitted to return home.
