Two Suspects Arrested with 428 Pills of WY in Koh Kong

Cambodia News (Koh Kong): On March 15, 2021, at 2:55 pm, the police of anti-drug collaborated with Smach Meanchey police in a crack down on drug trafficking in Sangkat Smach Meanchey, Kemarak Phumen city, Koh Kong.
Two male suspects, Kheav Bo, 44 years old, and Bo Pheakkdey, called Dam, 35 years old, were arrested.

The police confiscated 428 pills of WY*, 1 phone, and some drug equipment, and are preparing the case against the suspects.

*WY pills, also known as yaba or yama, are a mix of methamphetamine and caffeine, and are a common street drug in Cambodia and South East Asia.

One of the most popular border crossings I would have thought, the Yaba pills have been a big problem in Thailand for many years, more so with prices reduced to around $1.5 per pill.
