Re: Oh, You Internet.
found this one weird as in british english when you "shit the bed" it means you got up unusually early, usually used if you arrived to work or some place earlier than expected (because you had "shat yourself" and had to get up early to clean it up, figuratively speaking)
eg:
"oh youre here early..." "haha yeah fucking shat the bed dint i"
"fuckin hell i musta shat the bed this morning im the first one here"

Once when I worked in a bar I was asked for a pint of shit the bed. I gave a confused look and said "you what?" He then told me he was referring to Stella and his previous experiences of heavy nights on it.
Re: Oh, You Internet.
I’m with Jamie. Shit the bed is a colloquial term for arriving earlier than normal or planned. But Stella is a close second. I haven’t touched that stuff since my early 20’shburns wrote: ↑Thu Mar 11, 2021 2:50 amHaha never heard that. Re: Oh, You Internet.
Australians are obviously more classy. We would usually ask someone when arriving earlier than usual, if they had 'wet the bed'.
Re: Oh, You Internet.
Must be that I'm never early for anything so there's never been the need for anyone to say it lol

When I think of Australia, I think of classy and when I think of classy, Australia is the 1st thought to pop into my mindUsername Taken wrote: ↑Thu Mar 11, 2021 4:02 am Australians are obviously more classy. We would usually ask someone when arriving earlier than usual, had 'wet the bed'.

That is actually a Hash House Harrier tradition; usually reserved for someone that shows up for the Hash in new shoes.hburns wrote: ↑Thu Mar 11, 2021 4:26 amWhen I think of Australia, I think of classy and when I think of classy, Australia is the 1st thought to pop into my mindUsername Taken wrote: ↑Thu Mar 11, 2021 4:02 am Australians are obviously more classy.
