THE LAST CYCLO (Phnom Penh, Cambodia 🇰🇭)

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

That's reasonable depending on the condition. Are the ride-able at those prices ?

I thought they'd be rather cheaper (perhaps $100-150) given how old most of them are, and - let's face it - there's not much demand for them. The guys on St 158 didn't speak English and put me on the phone to someone who did, and I just asked him for a ballpark price. Like anything it would be negotiable ofc.

It would be fun to convert one to electric as an around town transporter for kids and grocery runs. I converted my mt. bike and my wifes bike to electric so if anyone would like to convert a cyclo let my know if I could help.

I used to have an electric scooter in Sydney (the kind you stand on) and one day I was about to pass an old bloke who took one look at me and said "you lazy bugger!" lol I can just just imagine the locals seeing you on an electric cyclo and thinking "fucking lazy barang".

No, not really, since I am more agile on my bike and passing through faster than the motos I've never got anything but thumbs up. I have a throttle as well as pedal assist so I can pedal with power too so it seems like a normal bike except my effort is much less.
