Likely a leftover from the American war in Vietnam.
Looks like it has seen plenty of service.
I bet those rounds are 50 years old or more.

No, because it's difficult to get any military grade weapon these days. Rifles have always been cheaper than hand-guns, and the state many are in shows they have probably been hidden in a swamp for 20 years. The guns last longer than the ammo in those conditions.
Those do look like 7.62×39 to me
Fair enough, I don't know much about guns myself.

Yep. Type 56 and 7.62 short rounds. Different to the NATO rounds. China supplied the Khmer Rouge with lots of weapons.

Meth is not fit to be kept in the same company as Drugs.
- the same as Pot should not be uttered in the same breath as Drugs.
