Phone Snatcher Found Hiding in Phnom Penh Sewer

Cambodia News, (Phnom Penh): Authorities have arrested a suspect who escaped after seizing a mobile phone from a woman, and who decided to take refuge in a sewer on February 21, 2021.

Several police forces continued to search the area until they found the suspect in hiding at a point in the sewer along Street 99 B in Sangkat Russey Keo, Khan Russey Keo, Phnom Penh; he was immediately arrested and taken to the Russey Keo District Police Inspectorate at 11:30 am on February 22, 2021.

The male suspect, identified as Mo, hid in the sewer for one night and one day.

Cambodia News,(Phnom Penh):On February 21, 2021, two suspects snatched a phone from a woman who was driving a motorbike and using her phone. The victim chased the suspects and screamed for help. The local people chased the suspect and kicked their motorbike to make it fall over.
One of the suspects, name Sos Aviwin, 33 years old, was arrested, and another suspect ran into the drain to escape. On February 22, 2021, the police searched for the suspect in the drain and arrested him immediately.
