Madness. A bit o’ Ska

Having a kitchen floor BBQ,
As it happens, I’m the only one in the room who was around back then...

Tonight, NOIR DESIR.

A great French song about sailors, subtitled in English.
Difficult to translate perfectly, as there is a few wordplays giving a second meaning to the text, which is also talking about the loneliness of writers.
It's quite beautiful.

and

his band was one of the best rock bands from our froggy Bretagne side of the channel, the lead singer was a very talented songwriter.
Unfortunately, he also killed his girlfriend, which fucked the whole biz.

For jazz lovers..

Great rendition of 'Cantaloupe island' imo.. Hugh Masekela on flugelhorn and Larry Willis on piano (check out that piano!). Just the 2 of them.

And the famous Herbie Hancock version..
