Cambodia News, (Kandal Province): A preliminary report said that at 10:30 am on February 18, 2021 at the house of the son of the victim, located in Tuol Sangke village, Kandal province, an unknown assailant killed an elderly woman and escaped.
The victim, Meng Heang, female, 62 years old, was working at home, resided at the above address.

According to information from the grandchildren of the deceased woman, on the morning of February 18, 2021, the family left the house to go to work and school as usual that morning. According to the same source, at about 10:30am, the grandson Ly Phannet returned home with his sister. They walked into the house, and suddenly saw the grandmother, the victim, lying in the house; the victim had bloody cuts and bruises on her neck. She could not speak, but she was still conscious and opened her eyes. As for Ly Phannet, he called his guardian and his neighbors to come and help him.

Ly Kuy Eng and his neighbors immediately took the victim to the Koh Thom District Referral Hospital, but unfortunately the victim died on arrival at the hospital.
Immediately after receiving the above information, the Koh Thom District Police Inspector ordered the specialized force to cooperate with the Kampong Kong police station to investigate and search for the killer.

The autopsy revealed a swollen bruise on the neck under the right jaw and a bruise on the right neck and a cut on the finger and back of right hand.Judging from the victim's wounds, the conclusion of the authorities is that the woman died due to serious injuries that were inflicted by another person. Police have put out an alert to find the murderer.

After the post mortem examination, the body of the old lady was handed over to her family for a traditional ceremony.
