Methamphetamine is now widely available to the young and old, and is being (ab)used all over Cambodia; even in small provincial towns and villages, such as Sen Monorom in Mondulkiri.

Cambodia News, (Mondulkiri): At 9:00 am on February 15, 2021, the Anti-Drug Bureau Special Forces in collaboration with the forces of Sen Monorom City Police Inspectorate and Spean Meanchey Administrative Police Force cracked down on some drug trafficking and illegal drug use at Room B, Baksey Meas Guesthouse in O'Spean Village, Sen Monorom City, Mondulkiri.

Three young people were arrested and taken into custody by Sen Monorom police forces.
1. Name: Sman Rifin, Male, 21 years old, Ethnicity: Khmer Muslim, Uncertain Occupation, Residence: O Spean Village, Sangkat Spean Meanchey, Sen Monorom City, Mondulkiri Province.
2. Name: Thorn Chanthai, alias You, female, 18 years old, Khmer, Uncertain occupation, Uncertain residence.
3. Name: Yan Chhay, alias Van Chhay, Male, 23 years old, Nationality: Khmer, Occupation: Car mechanic, Residence: Mean Leap Te Village, Sangkat Sokdom, Sen Monorom City, Mondulkiri Province.



Search and seize exhibits include:
1. Suspected substance in the form of a transparent white gram, 3 packs large enough.
2. Recycling equipment for smoking some drugs.
3. Some drug packaging bags
4. And some other materials.

In this case, the Anti-Drug Bureau and the Sen Monorom Municipal Police Inspectorate are building a case and taking legal action.
