Spicy Noodle Shop Guard Parks Car Inside Restaurant
Cambodia News, (Phnom Penh): An unnamed security person drove the Camry car of a customer inside the restaurant while attempting to park it out the front.
At 11 pm on February 11, 2021, a parking accident occurred at the Spicy Noodle Shop "Seoul", on road 598 corner and road 1986, Sen Sok, Phnom Penh City. Some customers arrived, leaving their car on the road for the security guard to park for them.
According to a witness at the scene, instead of leaving the car in front of the restaurant, the guard forgot to brake in time, and he smashed through the front entrance and hit a table and two motorbikes.
Fortunately, nobody was injured, and since the restaurant owner and the car owner know each other, they were able to come to a damage settlement without involving the police.

Based on my observations over the last week or so, of local drivers parking their cars, it may be the case that this security guard has done a better job than the actual owners of the car might have.

Geez, how fast was he going that he forgot to brake? Did he accidently put into 'D' for 'drag' instead of 'R' for 'race'CEOCambodiaNews wrote: ↑Fri Feb 12, 2021 10:55 pm According to a witness at the scene, instead of leaving the car in front of the restaurant, the guard forgot to brake in time, and he smashed through the front entrance and hit a table and two motorbikes. .

Automatics and poor servicing should also be taken into account!
I test drove a SUV last year- local small dealer.
It didn’t want to move initially, then barely any extra throttle and it suddenly launched, while at the same time the hydraulics went rock solid, making braking and steering a real task. Needless to say, I didn’t buy it.
Listen to the number of vehicles that sound like the brakes are running metal to metal.

eerily similar to that 'issue' you had taxiing back to the ramp that one time, eh? Just remember Freightdog, the rule is 12 hours, bottle-to-throttle, no less.Freightdog wrote: ↑Sat Feb 13, 2021 1:18 pm It didn’t want to move initially, then barely any extra throttle and it suddenly launched, while at the same time the hydraulics went rock solid, making braking and steering a real task.

May years ago, I was in a bar in HCMC that was a favourite with Vietnam Airlines crews. A merry evening, with everyone getting plastered. One of the pilots excused himself around 2 am, well and truly hammered, saying he had a flight at 7am that morning to Hanoi. I sure was glad that I wasn't on that flight.Brody wrote: ↑Sat Feb 13, 2021 2:42 pmeerily similar to that 'issue' you had taxiing back to the ramp that one time, eh? Quite off topic here, but that reminds me of a dentist who called it a night at 4am - saying he had a tooth removal at 9am that morning.hanno wrote: ↑Sat Feb 13, 2021 4:11 pmMay years ago, I was in a bar in HCMC that was a favourite with Vietnam Airlines crews. (And I sure was glad not to be that patient.)

Surgeons routinely drink in the Kingdom of Wonder. If they are too drunk to actually stand up and walk, surgery is canceled, and the patient must wait, no matter how urgent.

I knew a surgeon here for years. I always thought him as more butcher than a surgeon, he used to joke about sawing people's limbs off and throwing them in a bucket. He was always drunk, he'd knock back 5 ABCs and stroll back over to the next shift. .newkidontheblock wrote: ↑Sun Feb 14, 2021 1:52 am Surgeons routinely drink in the Kingdom of Wonder. Silence, exile, and cunning.
