Cambodia News (Kandal): On January 28, 2021, thieves stole a guesthouse owner's motorbike and killed a 15-year-old boy, Chan Sokheang, called Vy, who was working at the guesthouse, in Sangkat Deum Mean, Takmao city, Kandal. Two suspects ran away to escape.

On January 27, 2021, the police said at 6:15 pm, the victim came to work at the guesthouse as normal. At 7:30 pm, the guesthouse owner left a motorbike, plate PP1HS-5192, in front of his room. At 7:40 pm, two unidentified guests came to stay at the guest house in room 7.
At 9:30 pm, the guesthouse owner went to sleep, and the teenage boy took the night shift. At 03:30 am, the two guests asked the victim to bring them 4 beers to their room. After that, they strangled the boy to death.

In the morning, the guesthouse owner realized that his motorbike was stolen and the victim was missing. He checked the security camera, where he saw the two men in room 7 stealing his motorbike. He went to check room no 7, but the door was locked. He unlocked the door and found the victim lying dead inside the room. The owner called the police immediately.

The Children's Defense unit (CPU) in cooperation with the central police department and Ministry of Interior have created BRAVO 21 to investigate a 14-year-old boy's murder on 28 January 2021 in Kandal province.

Two male suspects are being sought by the authorities, and a nationwide alert is out for the stolen motorbike, a Honda C125, 2018, with Phnom Penh plate 1 GP-6929.

Cambodia News, (Kandal): Two suspects were arrested by the Kandal Provincial Armed Forces on February 10, 2021 for the murder of a teenage boy in 362 Guesthouse on January 28, 2021. The police found clues to their identities on the CCTV at the guesthouse.

Police have arrested two Cambodian men in their forties: Tha Thul, from Kandal, and Khem Samnang, from Phnom Penh. The two men checked into the guesthouse to smoke drugs (methamphetamine), and then they hatched a plot to kill the teenage employee and steal the guesthouse motorbike.


The young employee was brutally strangled and then suffocated by a pillow when he delivered beers to the suspects' room.
