Cambodia News (Phnom Penh): A group of gangsters with swords in their hands attacked a young man who was driving a motorbike, causing him to get injured, and he died on the way to the hospital. The police searched for the suspects and arrested a gang of seven people.



It was reported that on January 21, 2021, at 8:30 pm, on national road 6, Khan Chroy Changvar, the gang of seven suspects attacked the victim, deliberately hitting him in the head, provoking a fatal injury.

The victim was identified as Soa Piseth, a grade 12 student at Cheasim Beung Kengkorn High school. He died on the way to the hospital.

According to the police report, the 7 suspects were arrested one by one, from 4 pm, on January 25, 2021, in Sangkat Kok Rokar, Khan Prek Pnoa, Phnom Penh, to Mok Kampol district, Kandal. The raid finished at 1:10 pm on January 26.

At the victim's funeral, there was much mourning for the victim by the family, who said that the boy's soul had cried out to them and told them that a group of gangsters attacked him to death for no reason. The victim's family and friends are grief-stricken and they want some justice for their boy.

The 7 suspects have been detained at the police station in case preparation for a murder trial.
