Cambodian Fish Farm to Export Arowanas and Stingrays to China

Cambodia News, (Phnom Penh) A company in Cambodia plans to export arowana and stingray to China.
The Minister of Agriculture Yong Shakun visited the First Aquatic Industrial Co., Ltd. (​First Aquatic Industrial) in Jiansui County, Kangla Province on the 21st.

According to Li Xuequn, the person in charge of the company, the company plans to export 1,000 arowanas and 5,000 stingrays to China this year.

He said that the price of a dragon fish planned to be exported to China is US$1,000 and a stingray is US$200.

Yong Shakun pointed out in the official Facebook that the above-mentioned company was formally established and operated in 2017, with an investment of 4 million US dollars. Currently, arowanas, stingrays and other freshwater fish are raised in the farms. Arowana fry are imported from China.

Yong Shakun suggested that the company prepare relevant documents on breeding technology, and that the company should work closely with the Cambodian Fisheries Bureau to meet the regulations of the Chinese Customs and realize the export of arowana and stingray to China as soon as possible.

So long as the bastards do not come and pinch Golden Arowanas from the few streams in Koh Kong which are the last refuge of their species still surviving in the wild.
