11Yo Boy Dies Electrocuted in Bathroom

Cambodia News, (Phnom Penh): An 11-year-old boy walked into the bathroom and was electrocuted to death at 3:30 pm on January 8, 2021 at Room 36, House 262, Street 644, Group 18, Doeum Maklou Village, Sangkat Chbar Ampov I, Khan Chbar Ampov, Phnom Penh.

The boy was named as Vat Yuchain, male, 11 years old, a student from Kandal, living in the rented room at the above address.

According to the victim's uncle, who was a construction worker, before the incident, the victim had been with him for 34 months to study, while his parents went to work as laborers in Thailand.

He said that he heard a sound from the bathroom and when he went to see if the boy was ok, he saw the light bulb plug had fallen on the floor. He quickly removed the plug and shouted to the neighbors to help lift the person.

The victim was taken to Chbar Ampov District Referral Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, so then he was taken to Clinic 215 Chak Angre Krom, where he was also pronounced dead.
